What warranty do you provide?
1-year worldwide warranty. Warranty repairs are free of charge (shipping to/from the customer is not included).
How long does one battery last?
One battery comfortably covers a full working day in standard working speeds (1–4). In practice, that’s typically 4–6 procedures, depending on procedure length.
Do I need to charge the machine itself?
No. You don’t charge the handle — you swap the battery. When one battery is low, insert the charged one and continue working.
What batteries does FLY AIR use?
FLY AIR uses a standard Li-ion 14500 rechargeable battery (3.7V, button top “+”). This is a common format you can buy from many electronics stores and online marketplaces.
How long does it take to charge a battery?
Approximately 1.5 hours (with the included single-slot charger).
What does the red blinking indicator mean?
A red blinking light means the battery is getting low — please swap the battery to continue working without interruptions.
What is Double Step and why does it matter?
Double Step patented by iColor is our unique mechanism where the needle’s return movement is controlled mechanically (not by a spring or cartridge membrane). This helps deliver a more stable hit, predictable needle landing, and a cleaner, more premium-looking pixel.
Is it suitable for all PMU zones (including delicate areas)?
Yes. FLY AIR is designed for all zones, including delicate work (when used with proper technique).
Which cartridges are compatible?
FLY AIR is universal and works with most standard PMU cartridges. It also handles cartridges with tight membranes (for example, Defender-type membranes).
What are the needle stroke and needle protrusion settings?
Stroke: 2.3 mm (fixed)
Needle protrusion: up to 2.5 mm
Adjustment steps: 0.2 mm clicks for precise control
How does the device differ from XION, Defender, and Mast?
XION: Features a relatively low-power 6W motor. The FLY AIR is equipped with a 15W motor, which means XION can effectively handle all areas only when using additional stroke wheels (eccentrics), which must be purchased separately. The grip diameter of XION is 26 mm, while Fly Air is slimmer at 18 mm. XION also produces more noticeable vibration.
FLY AIR: Handles all zones and works effectively on any skin type without the need for additional stroke wheels. Delivers stable performance with minimal vibration.
MAST: Equipped with a low-power motor and prone to frequent breakdowns. Not suitable for artists with a light hand technique. Produces a very small pixel, requiring either slower work or multiple passes, which increases procedure time. Not suitable for hair stroke techniques.
FLY AIR: Provides soft, airy pigmentation while maintaining high speed. Suitable for all techniques, including hair strokes. May require an adjustment period, especially for artists transitioning from Fly Gold.
DEFENDER: Produces low pigment retention, requiring multiple passes to achieve lipstick effects. Also requires additional stroke wheels (eccentrics) to be purchased separately.
